Collections
Circulating Collection – the main body of the Library’s holdings. We have over 55,000 titles in every field relating to philosophy and theology. The collection includes a wide variety of titles in the areas of Scripture, Patristics, Dogmatic and Moral Theology, and Canon Law, which support the school’s degree programs. Additionally, the Library maintains extensive holdings of works by and about Saint Thomas Aquinas.
Reference Collection – the Library possess a number of important reference works, including the Patrologia Latina and the Patrologia Graeca. These books are for library use only.
Periodical Collection – the Library has an extensive collection, including over 400 current periodicals and over 15,000 bound prior volumes.
Dominicana Collection – the Library maintains an extensive collection of works pertaining to the life and history of the Dominican Order. This includes Actae of General Chapters, histories of individual Provinces and houses, as well as biographies of important Dominicans. This is a non-circulating collection.
Special Collection - this Collection consists of a small gathering of rare books, including more than two dozen incunabulae. This also is a non-circulating collection, which must be used in the Library.
