Aquinas on God: June 2014 Philosophical Workshop

The topic of the 4th Annual Philosophy Workshop is “Aquinas on God.” The workshop will take place at Mount Saint Mary College, Newburgh, New York, on June 5-8, 2014.

Is it possible to speak philosophically about God, and if so, how? How does Thomist philosophy address the metaphysics of creation and divine providence? How does metaphysical knowledge of God relate to philosophical ethics?

The first day of the conference is devoted especially to graduate students, either in philosophy or adjacent disciplines.

The second and third days of the event will combine presentations by philosophers with times of discussion and debate.

This symposium is co-sponsored by The Catholic and Dominican Institute, the PFIC’s Thomistic Institute, and The Notre Dame Center for Ethics & Culture.

Featured Speakers are:

James Brent, OP
