Dr. Mary Ann Cashman-McGuire

Mary Ann Cashman-McGuire, native of Chicago, an artist and educator, earned a BA in Drama from Mundelein College. She came to The Catholic University of America (CUA) for an MA in Speech and Drama (under Gilbert Hartke, OP) and an EdD. Her doctoral dissertation is a case study of a school with a fine arts focus and a dialogic communication structure.

She has taught speech and theatre courses at Marymount College of VA, The Catholic University of America, Prince George's Community College, Virginia Theological Seminary (under John Burke, OP), and the University of Maryland in College Park. Her research and teaching foster fine arts education and communication skills. Currently she teaches Communicating God’s Word at the Dominican House, Liturgical Readings in the School of Philosophy and English Diction for Singers in the School of Music (CUA).
