Fr. Judd lived in the Washington, D.C. area from 1985 until his entrance into the Dominican novitiate in 1990, after having obtained a B.A. in international affairs from The George Washington University. After completing his theological studies at the Dominican House of Studies, he was ordained in 1996. He received his S.T.L. from the Dominican House of Studies in 1997 and was then assigned to Providence College (1997 - 2000), where he taught as an instructor in the Theology Department and in the Development of Western Civilization Program. In 2000 he began theological studies at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland, with an interest in Aquinas’ account of the mediation of Christ. While in Fribourg, Fr. Judd assisted at the English speaking parish of Bruderklaus. In 2003 he returned to Washington to complete his doctoral work and to teach at the Dominican House of Studies, where he conducts courses in systematic theology.
