Fr. Donohoo lived in the Washington, D.C. area from 1971 until his entrance into the Dominican novitiate in 1979. After completing his theological studies at the Dominican House of Studies, he was ordained in 1985. From 1986 to 1990 he served as instructor of philosophy (ethics) and religious studies at Providence College. In 1991 he began theological studies at the University of Munich. While there, he worked regularly in a Dominican parish and offered occasional lectures in Bavaria on philosophical and theological topics. In 1995 he returned to Washington to teach at the Dominican House of Studies, where he has taught twelve different courses in fundamental moral theology, fundamental theology and dogma. In addition to his theological and philosophical publications, his poems have appeared in various collections.
