Biographical Sketches

The Very Reverend Steven Boguslawski, O.P. – President
Fr. Boguslawksi was born in Waterbury, Connecticut, and grew up in Thomaston. He has been a member of the Order of Preachers since 1981, and was ordained a priest in 1987. He holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in new testament studies and theology from Yale University. First as its dean of studies from 2001, Fr. Boguslawski was named the rector/president of Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, MI in 2003. He also served at the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception in the offices of vice president and academic dean as well as provincial regent of studies. In addition to his new duties for the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception, Fr. Boguslawksi is currently the executive director of the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center. He is the author of several books focusing upon Jewish-Catholic relations in the writings of St. Thomas Aquinas, as well as co-editor of two books in the new evangelization urged by Pope John Paul II.

The Reverend Joseph Fox, O.P. – Vice President for Advancement
Fr. Joseph Fox, a member of the Order of Preachers in vows since 1969, was ordained a priest in 1974. He has a licentiate degree in theology from the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception, a licentiate degree in canon law from the Catholic University of America, and a doctorate in canon law from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (the Angelicum) in Rome. Fr. Fox served in a variety of positions during his 22 years in Rome including that of staff official of the Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts, bureau chief of the personnel office of the Holy See, teaching in the faculties of theology and canon law at the Angelicum, economic administrator of the Convitto San Tommaso and of the Dominican priory at the Angelicum and as the director of pastoral formation at the Pontifical North American College. Since September 2003, he has served as theologian and canonical consultant to Adam Cardinal Maida in Detroit, while teaching on the faculty at Sacred Heart Majory Seminary, and as his delegate for special services at the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center in Washington, DC.

The Reverend Gabriel O’Donnell, O.P. – Vice President & Academic Dean
Fr. O'Donnell entered the Order of Preachers in 1964 and was ordained a priest in 1970. In 1980 he earned degrees in the areas of Liturgical Theology and Spiritual Theology. He has previously taught at the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception, St. Charles Seminary in Philadelphia, PA and the Angelicum in Rome. He presently serves as the postulator for the causes for sainthood of Father Michael J. McGivney, the founder of the Knights of Columbus, and Rose Hawthorne, founder of the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne, NY. With Robin Mass, Fr. O'Donnell is the author of "Spiritual Traditions for the Contemporary Church" and has contributed to "A Love That Never Ends: A Key to the Catechism of the Catholic Church."
